Futures

Eastern Field Hockey Camp is a USA Field Hockey Partner Camp, recommending 3% of its total camper population to the Futures Program.

The USA Field Hockey Futures Program serves to identify talented future Olympic level athletes, and to strengthen the level of field hockey throughout the United States.

USA Field Hockey Futures Program Athletes are divided into 3 age groups: Under 19, Under 16, and Under 14. These athletes are split into two levels based on present skill level and potential: Developmental and Regional Best.

This elite training program develops the athletes' skills and understanding of the game. The curriculum starts with fundamentals and tactics and progresses to advanced skills being used by Olympic level hockey players.

This elite program features more than 4,800 athletes participating in specialized monthly training sessions from January through June. A Regional Tournament is offered in May. Athletes may be selected to compete in the National Futures Championship in Virginia Beach from their regional competition.
